Walgreens Ad 1/11: Best Sales & Deals

Here are my picks for the best deals in the Walgreens ad for January 11 - 17, 2015.

Best deals in the 1/11 Walgreens ad

• Walgreens Points Booster Coupons -- Score an additional 5000 Balance Reward points (like $5 in buying power) when you spend $30 with this in-ad coupon January 11 through 13 only!  For this offer, you need to spend $30 AFTER any additional Walgreens coupons (they act as price reductions in the register) but BEFORE manufacturer coupons.  
• Garnier Fructis Hair Care -- on sale 2 bottles for $6, with 3000 Balance Reward points back (like $3 in buying power) on each three you buy in the same transaction.  If you have enough coupons, I recommend buying 6 bottles for $18, and use 6 $2 off coupons from the 1/11 Red Plum insert.  You'll pay $6 out of pocket for all 6 bottles, and then you'll receive 6000 Balance Reward points back (so $6 in buying power.)  So all six will be free!
• Russell Stover's Valentine's Day Candy or Chocolate -- on sale for 39 cents each with in-ad coupon.
• Dawn Hand Renewal Dishwashing Liquid -- on sale for 99 cents per bottle.  Use the 50 cents off coupon from the 12/28 P&G insert, and get yours for 49 cents instead.
• Progresso Soup -- on sale 4 cans for $5, with 1000 Balance Reward points (like $1 in buying power) when you buy four in the same transaction.  So buy four, then use two 50 cents off 2 coupons from the 1/4 Smartsource inserts.  You'll pay $4 out of pocket, then you'll have your 1000 Balance Reward points.  Next, submit for this $1 off 4 SavingStar rebate.  So your final price after discounts is 4 for $2, or 50 cents per can!
• Crest Pro-Health Toothpaste or Rinse -- on sale 4 for $12, with $6 back in Register Rewards.  Use two $1.50 off 2 coupons from the 12/28 P&G insert, and pay $9 out of pocket.  After your $6 in Register Rewards, your final price is $3 for 4, or 75 cents each!
• Sunny Smile Paper Plates -- 72-count packs on sale for 99 cents each.
• Mitchum or Lady Mitchum Deodorant -- on sale for $2.99 each.  If you receive the $2 off coupon in your 1/11 Smartsource insert (this coupon may be regional, so I don't know if everyone will get it) your new price falls to 99 cents.
• Glade Jar Candles and Wax Melts -- on sale 2 for $7, with $1 back in Register Rewards.  Buy one of each, then use the $2 off 2 coupon from the 1/4 Smartsource.  You'll pay $5 out of pocket for both, and then you'll receive your $1 in Register Rewards for next time.  So that's like 2 for $4.  Next, submit for two $1 Ibotta rebates (one for the candle, and one for the wax melts.)  Your final price drops to $2 for both, or a dollar apiece!
• 7UP, A&W, Sunkist, or Canada Dry -- on sale for $1 per 2-liter bottle.
• Kellogg's Cereal -- on sale for $1.99 per box.  Buy two and use the $1 off 2 coupon from the 12/7 Red Plum insert.  Your new price drops to $1.49 per box.
• Nice! Pure Cane Sugar -- 4 lb bags on sale for $1.99 with in-ad coupon.
• Tampax Pearl or Radiant Tampons -- on sale 3 boxes for $12, with 2000 Balance Reward points back for each three boxes you buy in the same transaction.  Use three $1 off coupons from the 12/28 P&G insert.  You'll pay $9 out of pocket, and then you'll receive your 2000 points (like $2 in buying power.)  That's a final price of $7 for all three boxes, or $2.34 each!
• Hershey's Chocolate Spreads -- on sale for $3.49 per jar, with 1000 Balance Reward points back towards a future purchase (like $1 in buying power.)  Use the free candy bar coupon with Hershey's Spreads purchase arriving in the 1/11 Smartsource insert.  After coupon and points, your final price drops to $2.49 for both items!
• Revitalens Contact Solution -- on sale 2 10 oz boxes for $12, with 3000 Balance Reward points back when you buy two boxes in the same transaction.  So buy two and use two $2 off coupons from the 12/7 Smartsource inserts (expire 1/12.)  You'll pay $8 out of pocket, then you'll receive your 3000 pints (like $3 in buyin power.)  So that's a final price of 2 for $5, or $2.50 per box!
• Scott Naturals Paper Towels -- 6-count packs on sale for $3.99.  We have a 75 cents off coupon arriving in the 1/11 Smartsource insert that will knock your price down to $3.24.  
• Kleenex Bundle Pack -- 4-count packs on sale for $3.99.  We have a 50 cents off coupon also arriving in the 1/11 Smartsource that will drop your price down to $3.49.

DEAL SCENARIO: We also have a $5 off $30 SavingStar rebate good on Scott, Cottonelle, and Kleenex products.  So if you have enough coupons, try this following scenario:

• Buy four packs of Scott Naturals and four Kleenex Bundles for a pre-coupon price of $31.92.  Use four 75 cents off coupons from the 1/11 Smartsource insert, three 50 cents off coupons from the 1/11 Smartsource, and the in-ad Walgreens Points Booster coupon.  Pay $28.17 out of pocket, and receive 5000 Balance Reward points back (like $5 in buying power.)  So that's like $23.17.  Next, submit for your $5 off $30 SavingStar rebate.  Your final price for all 8 items after all discounts is just $18.17.  That works out to $2.27 per item -- so 57 cents per box of Kleenex, and just 38 cents per roll of paper towels!
• Excedrin -- on sale 2 100-count boxes for $20, with 10000 Balance Reward points back for each two boxes you buy in the same transaction.  So use two $1.50 off coupons from the 1/11 Smartsource inserts, and pay $17 out of pocket, then get your $10 back in points.  That means your final price is $7 for two boxes, or $3.50 each!
• Gone Girl -- on sale for $15.99 per DVD beginning Tuesday, January 13.
• Huggies Big Pak -- on sale for $21.99 each.  Stack this $3 off coupon (sort by Baby & Toddler to find it fast) with the $3 Walgreens coupon available in the January coupon book and get yours for $15.99 instead.

DEAL SCENARIO:  Really want to stock up on Huggies diapers?

• Between January 11 - 13, buy two Big Paks for a pre-coupon price of $43.98, along with two small filler items.  Give the Points Booster, the $3 Walgreens coupon from the January coupon book (will take a total of $6 off) and two $3 off coupons.  You'll pay $31.98 out of pocket (plus the cost of your two small fillers) and then you'll receive your 5000 Balance Rewards points.  So that's a final price of $26.98 for both after all discounts -- or $13.49 per Big Pak!
• Suavitel Fabric Softener -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  Use this $1 off coupon (sort by Household to find it fast) and get yours for even less.
• Snuggle Fabric Softener -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  Use the 50 cents off coupon from the 1/4 Red Plum insert and pay an even better price for yours.
• Ajax Cleanser or Dish Liquid -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.
• Sun Laundry Detergent -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.
• Nivea Body Wash or Scrub -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.
• Nivea Men Shave or Skin Care -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  Use the $2 off coupon from the 12/14 Smartsource insert (expires on 1/11) and get an even sweeter deal on yours.
• Ocean Spray Juice or Drink -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.
