Walgreens Ad 7/27: Best Sales & Deals

Here are my picks for the best deals in the Walgreens ad for July 27 - August 2, 2014.

Best deals in the 7/27 Walgreens ad
  • Purell Hand Sanitizer -- on sale for $2.99 per bottle.  Stack this $2 off coupon with the $1 off Walgreens coupon from the August coupon book.  Your bottle is free!
  • Wet N Wild Cosmetics -- on sale for 40% off, with shelf prices starting around 99 cents per item.  Use the $1 off coupon arriving in the 7/27 Smartsource insert to get some for free!
  • Walgreens Points Booster Coupon -- watch for this coupon in your weekly ad if you haven't used it yet.  If this coupon is available in your area, scan it ONCE at the register, and you will receive 50 points for every $1 spent on Beauty/Personal Care items now through August 30, 2014.  The fine print says the following categories are included: Cosmetics, Beauty, Skin Care, Oral Care, Hair Care, Grooming, Bath, Acne Care, Fragrance, and Travel/Trial. 
  • Wexford 2-Pocket Paper Folders -- on sale for 10 cents each.  Limit 10 per transaction.  Consider snagging some of these for local back to school drives as well.  San Antonio readers can actually earn free Starbucks drinks with their school supply donations right now.
  • Wexford Wooden Rulers -- on sale for 17 cents each with in-ad coupon.  Limit 6 per transaction.
  • Wexford Sticky Notes -- on sale for 17 cents per pack with in-ad coupon.  Limit 6 per transaction.
  • Butterball Turkey Bacon -- on sale for 99 cents per pack.  Use this 75 cents off coupon and get yours for 24 cents instead.  
  • Wexford #2 Pencils -- 8-count packs on sale for 39 cents each with in-ad coupon.  Limit 3 per transaction.
  • Wexford School Glue -- on sale for 39 cents each with in-ad coupon.  Limit 3 per transaction.
  • Colgate Optic White Mouthwash or Toothpaste -- on sale for $2.99 each, with $2 back in Register Rewards.  Use the 50 cents off coupon arriving in the 7/27 Smartsource insert, and get yours for just 49 cents.
  • Wexford One Subject Notebooks -- on sale for 49 cents each with in-ad coupon.  Limit 3 per transaction.
  • Wexford Sheet Protectors -- on sale for 49 cents per pack with in-ad coupon.  Limit 3 per transaction.
  • Wexford Scissors -- on sale for 49 cents each with in-ad coupon.  Limit 3 per transaction.
  • Wexford Filler Paper -- on sale for 79 cents per pack.
  • Carmex Healing Cream or Lotion -- on sale for $2.99 per tube, with 2000 Balance Reward points back towards a future transaction (like $2 in buying power!)  So that's a final price of 99 cents each.
  • Mitchum or Lady Mitchum Deodorant -- on sale for $2.99 per tube.  Use the $2 off coupon that's allegedly arriving in the 7/27 Smartsource insert, and grab yours for 99 cents.
  • Nice! Grade A Eggs -- on sale for 99 cents per dozen.
  • Coffee-Mate -- on sale 2 for $4.  Use two $1 off coupons and pay a buck per bottle instead.
  • Purina Beneful Dog Food -- on sale 2 bags for $10, with $5 back in Register Rewards when you spend $20 or more.  So buy four bags for $20, then use four $2 off coupons from the 4/27 Smartsource insert (expires 7/27!)  You'll pay $12 out of pocket for all four bags, and then you'll receive your $5 in Extra Bucks.  So that's like paying a final price of $7 for everything, or just $1.75 per bag.
  • Tide Liquid Laundry Detergent -- 24 to 32-load bottles priced at $4.99 each.  Use the $2 off coupon arriving in the 7/27 P&G insert, and pay $2.99 for yours.  Depending on the size you buy, your price per load drops as low as 9 cents each.
  • Tidy Cats Cat Litter -- 14 lb jugs on sale for $4.99, with $5 back in Register Rewards when you spend $20 or more.  If your store has enough on hand, buy five and use five $1 off coupons from the 7/27 Red Plum insert.  After coupons and Register Rewards, you'll pay $14.95 for all five jugs, or $2.99 each!
  • Wexford Poly Notebooks -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.
  • Vanity Fair Napkins -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  Use the $1 off 2 coupon from the 6/29 Red Plum (expires 7/29) for an even better deal.
  • Dixie Tableware -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed in ad.  If Dixie Ultra products are included, use this $1 off 2 coupon to drop your price even further.
