Target Shoppers Exposed To Potential Credit Card Theft

If you shopped in a Target store between Wednesday, November 27 and Sunday, December 15, and paid using a debit card or credit card, then I have some crucial news for you.

Target and the Secret Service are investigating a security breach that allowed scammers to possibly gain access to millions of shoppers' credit card info, including customer name, credit or debit card number, and the card’s expiration date and CVV (the three-digit security code).

At this time, it looks like the security breach extends to in-store purchases only, and not online buys.

Target is recommending their customers watch their accounts closely for suspicious transactions, and notify your bank if unauthorized transactions start showing up.
